President Trump suggested in a tweet on Wednesday that Facebook ​was in cahoots with the ​news ​media to push “fake news” about him during the 2016 presidential election.

“Facebook was always anti-Trump.The Networks were always anti-Trump

“But,” he added, “the people were Pro-Trump! Virtually no President has accomplished what we have accomplished in the first 9 months-and economy roaring​.”​

Facebook has come under scrutiny by federal investigators looking into the Kremlin’s meddling in the election and any links to the Trump campaign when it was revealed that the social media giant purchased more than 3,000 ads from Russian-backed groups intent on spreading propaganda.

Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg said his company turned over the ads to investigators.

Trump has long decried the news media’s influence during the election by saying they were in Hillary Clinton’s pocket.

He calls allegations that Moscow interfered in the election a “hoax” created by Democrats upset that he beat Clinton.
